Abstract

In the spring of 2008,the composition,areal-types and floristics characteristics of seed plants in Rucheng-Chenzhou expressway were studied on the basis of field survey and identification of specimen collection. The results show that there were 397 species of seed plants, belonging to 105 families and 279 genera, among of them 6 species are gymnosperm belonging to 5 families 5 genera, and 391 species are angiosperm belonging to 100 families and 274 genera;the tropical distribution families make up 57.71% in total families;74 genrea(accounting for 29.25%) are predominant in number which are the pantropic type distribution;37 genrea are north temperate type distribution and 27 genrea are Tropical Asia type distribution which account for 14.62% and 10.67% respectively;the above information indicates that this area is a transitional region from tropical zone to subtropical zone. Finally, resource diversity and conservation strategies of the protection and endangered plants in this region were analyzed.
