Discussion on the Manchu culture and its influence on the northeast China

Manchu has a long history,the origin can be traced to the ancient times.Manchu was early called Sushen,and Yilou in Han Dynasty,Wuji in the Southern and Northern Dynasties,Gemo in Suitang Dynasty,Nuzhen in Liao,Song,Yuan and Ming Dynasties.In the later period of the 16th Century,led by Nuerhachi,Nuzhen nationality unified some Han,Mongolian and Korean nationalities,forming a new big family-Manchu(refer to Yanglie,2010,P105).This paper first introduces traditional custom of Manchu,focusing on language,dress and personal adornment,diet,dwelling house,and religion,and then the important influence of folk culture of Manchu on the later generations,especially in the area of northeast China.
