Abstract
The phytoplankton communities and water quality in Wujiangdu Reservoir,a canyon-style reservoir in Guizhou,in dry season, level season and wet season were investigated in 2005. According to coenotype, cell density ,biomass,pollution-indicating species, physical and chemical information of water and species diversity indices,an overall evaluation result of water quality was eutrophication or Grade Ⅲ by the environmental quality standards for surface water, which indicated the quality was deteriorating gradually.
