Abstract
Four citizen ranks system,an important feature of Yuan Dynasty politics,social system and society,had profound influence on Yuan Dynasty.The underlying causes of this system coming into being were both historical and realistic.This system contributed greatly to the the ruling of Yuan Dynasty,but at the same time,it worsened ethnic conflicts and hostility,and finally became a cause of Yuan Dynasty falling apart.
