The origin of evolutionary economics idea can be dated back to Marshall's and Schumpeter's thoughts, and evolutionary ecomomics theory had gotten a remarkable development since the publication of Nelson and Winter's book `Evolutionary Theory of Economic Change' By reviewing the history of evolutionary economics, this paper expatiates its essential idesa.
