VALUE OF SALINE TRANSVAGINAL CONTRAST SONOHYSTEROGRAPHY IN UTERINE CAVITY LESIONS DIAGNOSIS

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of transvaginal saline contrast sonohysterography in the detection of uterine cavity lesions.MethodsOne hundred and six cases of suspected uterine abnormalities underwent transvaginal saline contrast sonohysterography.ResultsThe accurate rate was 83.0% in diagnosing uterine cavity lesions by transvaginal sonography(TVS),and 92.4% by saline contrast sonohysterography(SHG) respectively.The sensitivity was 97.6% by TVS and 98.8% by SHG.The specificity was 68.2% by TVS and 96.1% by SHG.ConclusionTransvaginal saline contrast sonohysterography is an effective method in diagnosing uterine cavity lesions,and important to clinical treatment.
