Abstract

The language created by a nation has a close relationship with the characteristics of traditional writing style of the people concerned. One of the most obvious characteristics of the traditional writing style is the mode of thinking. This paper begins with the differences in the modes of thinking between Chinese and English people and discusses the effect of the differences on English writing and the ways to get rid of their negative effect.
