The Grammatical Features of Xianyang Dialect

Xianyang dialect belongs to Guanzhong Area of Central China dialect of northern dialects. Compared with putonghua, Xianyang dialect has its own features in grammar which can be seen in the following: single sound nouns, adjectives, verbs and classifier can duplicate and usually are accompanied with 'er' ending sound; the component elements of pronouns and usage; a big batch of functional words of dialect nature; positive-negative questions and sentences beginning with 'bǎ' that have a great difference with putonghua.
