Abstract

Reverse Engineering has got more and more widely applied in the construction of the CAD model. By using the Reverse Engineering’s viewpoints:point clouds processing,curve reconstruction, surface reconstruction,then CAD model,taking the automobile engine cover as the example,combining Imageware as the Reverse Engineering software,It detailed introduces the process and method of the construction of the painting robots’CAD model. The result proves that Reverse Engineering can well used in the construction of the painting robots’CAD model.
