Abstract
The experiment was used 11 cultivars. We researched the changes of t he earring percentage and the appearing of tiller under the low seedling density cultivation. The results showed that: the treatment of low seedling density imp roved the rate of the appearing of tiller, and made the earing layer in good ord er. Low seedling density cultivation improved the rate of tiller effectively, re duced the dead rate of the tiller and increased the rate of the tiller in the cl uster. Earing percentage has negative relationship with basic seedling, but has active relationship with yield. With the reduction of the basic seedling, the ea ring percentage of all the experimental cultivars showed the same order A3 A2 A1.
