Affectting factors of Trichinella infectivity

Abstract
The affectting factors of Trichinella infectivity are reviewed. The infectivity of identical Trichinella species varies in different host due to the endo-environment of carriers, moreover, male, old or ill hosts are likely more susceptible. As for the nematode itself, at present, the genus of Trichinella comprises eight species and three unidentified genotypes. The infectivity of them is significantly different, and during the worm′s life-cycle, only some stages can infect hosts. In addition, infection mode, method of larval recovering, meat processing also affect Trichinella infectivity.
