Abstract
Software requirements development methodology is one of the most important problems for current complex software development. In this paper, based on software development life cycle model, software requirements development was introduced. Then, necessary contents that should be included in software requirements and good software requirements characteristics were presented. According to iterative development method, software development process was divided into four parts: requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, requirements documentation and requirements validation. For each part, the scope and detailed activities are investigated. Practice of software development engineering showed that, good software requirements development methodology is valuable for the improvement of efficiency and quality of software requirement.
