Abstract
Seed is the only sexual reproduction organ in angiosperm.Seed dormancy and seed germination have an very important role in the life cycle of plants. In recent years, much progress has made in understanding seed maturation, dormancy and germination in molecular genetics and physiology.Hormone actions and their interactions play an important role in controlling and modulating transition from seed dormancy to seed germination. This review focuses mainly on the actions of abscisic acid, gibberetlins, ethylene and their interactions and their responses to environment in regulating the interconnected process that controls dormancy release and germination.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
