Harmonization and Macro Regulation & Control of Regional Economy

Regional economy is an important component of the national economy, and its healthy development has significant impact on national economy. During the system transition from a planed economy to a market economy in China, gaps between different regional economies are widening, and conflict of interests are becoming more and more severe, which not only affects the development of regional economy, but also brings threat to the sustainable, stable and balanced development of national economy. Therefore, it is necessary for China to enhance macro regulation and control of regional economy and realize a harmonized, balanced development of regional economy. The paper discusses the necessities, objectives and means of executing macro regulation and control of regional economy to harmonize regional economy.
