Abstract
The water extracts and ethanol extracts of 10 species in Sichuan were obtained. The molluscicidal efficacy of their poisonous or medicinal herbal plants against the snail Pomacea canaliculata was tested in the laboratory. The results showed that the extracts of Coriaria sinica,Corydalis edulis,Eupatorium adenphorum and Nerium indicum had significant molluscicidal effects on the snail. The mortality of the snail was 100 % at the Coriaria sinica extracts concentration of 1mg/mL 48 h after treatment. The molluscicidal activity of Nerium indicum,Corydalis edulis and Eupatorium adenphorum was next to that of Coriaria sinica.
