Abstract
Temperature loading is one of the main design loading of thinly roller-compacted concrete (RCC) arch dams which are whole roller-compacted. In this paper, the finite element method based on unstable temperature field and the creep stress is used for the simulation of Zhaolai River roller-compacted concrete double curvature arch dam during construction process, and the characteristics of the temperature stress field and the temperature stress changes during the construction period of thinly RCC double curvature arch dam of 100 m level are revealed. The results can provide design references for the dam temperature control.
