Study on the Quality Issues of Map Visualization in GIS

Abstract

With the development of the applications of Digital Earth and Digital City, the visualization effect of GIS data is becoming an important aspect to evaluate the performance of GIS. Right now, research on visualization of GIS data is a one of the most important trends in GIS. Although the 2D representation and 2D visualization method of GIS data is mature, it is far from high-quality visualization. In this paper, we mainly discuss the problems of high-quality visualization of map, analyze the quality issues of map visualization and explore the relative technologies to ensure the quality.
