Abstract
Gyrotron electron gun is one of the most promising high-power microwaves electron gun.The configuration and operating mechanism of the gyrotron gun are briefly introduced.The state-of-art and developing trend are reviewed in detail.Some remaining critical problems are discussed and some suggestions are also presented.
