Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic efficacy of the Fumigation with Herbal Decoction(FHD) in the treatment of postoperative patients with mixed hemorrhoids(MH).Methods:160 patients with MH who had undergone surgical treatment were divided into study group(80 cases) and control group(80 cases).Patients in the study group were received FHD,while patients in the control group were received Fumigation with Potassium Permanganate(1∶5 000).Results:The postoperative 7th visual analog scale of pain and perianal edema decreased to 1.3 scores and 0.76 in the study group, wile 1.7 scores and 1.06 in the control group. The study group was better than the control group(P0.01).The mean wound healing time of the study group(17.5 d) was significantly shorter than the control group(26.5 d)(P0.01).Conclusion:There is predominance in the treatment of postoperative patients with mixed hemorrhoids with Herbal Decoction and to be worth further popularizing.
