Discussion on Construction of Long Distance Digital Pipelines

Ji-Ning gas pipeline is the first long distance pipeline built with digital technology. Its successful completion indicates that the construction of domestic digital pipelines has stepped into a new stage. On the basis of current development of digital pipelines, a new definition about digital pipeline is presented in this paper. The main construction contents combining with the general construction objective of digital pipeline are explained. Components and functions of the digital pipeline are analyzed. Key technical problems of digital pipeline which should be solved at present are illustrated and the proposals for the future digital pipeline construction are brought forward.
