Quantitative Measurement of Current Industry Revenue in Henan Province and Policy Suggestions

The income gap between different industries in Henan Province is measured by using coefficient of variation and Theil index.The results show that the income gap is not evident,but the development level of all sectors in Henan is lower than the national average level,some high human capital industries and the scientific and technological innovation-oriented industries develop at a slow speed,and the tertiary industry is still underdeveloped.Policy suggestions are proposed to maintain the advantage of the extractive industries for a steady development,to increase investment in scientific and technological innovation-oriented industries for a rapid development,to develop the labor-intensive industries for a high employment rate,and to increase investment in education for an improvement in quality of employees.
