Abstract
Using lilium oriental hybrid Startighter as experimental material,different concentrations of paclobutrazol solutions such as 50 mg/L, 100 mg/L and 150 mg/L were applied by soil watering to plants respeclively,the effects on growth of lily were explored. The results showed that paclobutrazol could reduce the height of lily plant obviously,put off flowering time,increase stem root number,and inhibit root length. With the increasing of treated concentrations of paclobutrazol,the fallen leaf number at the bottom of plants increased,the flowering plant number decreased,and ornamental value decreased. When treated with 50 mg/L paclobutrazol by soil watering,the potting lily obtained the better dwarfing and ornamental value.
