Abstract
Objective:To explore clinical characteristics and features of serum autoantibodies of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) with or without lupus nephritis(LN).Methods:Clinical information of 102 SLE patients including LN ones was retrospectively analyzed.Antinuclear antibodies and anti-dsDNA antibodies were determined by indirect immunofluorescence method and anti-SSA,-SSB,-U1RNP,-Smith,-Jo-1 and SCL-70 antibodies were determined by enzyme dot method. Results:Ages at SLE diagnosis ranged from 13 to 78 years with a mean of 35±14 years.Joint pain and butterfly erythema were the most common manifestations, with positive rate of 29.4% and 26.5% respectively. In organs involved by SLE,kidney damage was the most common, with positive rate of 63.7%.In 102 SLE patients, positive rates of ANA,anti-dsDNA,-SSA,-SSB,-U1RNP,-Smith,-SCL-7 and-JO-1 antibodies were respectively 95.1%,38.2%,51.9%,11.8%,28.4%,21.6%,1% and 0.Of various autoantibodies, the positve rate of anti-dsDNA antibody was significantly higher in SLE patients with LN(46%) than that in SLE ones without LN(24%)(P0.05).However,there was no significant differences for positive rates of other autoantibodies between SLE patients with or without LN.Conclusion:When joint pain and butterfly erythema occur in women of reproductive age,SLE should be considered and laboratory determination should be performed to confirm or exclude SLE as soon as possible.Of varous autoantibodies,anti-dsDNA antibody is closely associated with involvement of LN by SLE.
