Abstract
Saponified chloro-naphthenic acid extraction system was synthesized by four processes which are(a)naphthene oxychloride was synthesized by naphthenic acid and phosphorus trichloride,(b)chloro-naphthene oxychloride was synthesized by chlorination of naphthene oxychloride, (c)chloro-naphthenic acid was synthesized by hydrolysis of chloro-naphthene oxychloride,(d)mixed chloro-naphthenic acid, isooctyl alcohol and sulfonated kerosene and then saponified the mixture. The characteristic absorption peaks of groups of the reactant, intermediate and final product ’s organic phase were characterized. The results indicated that the chloro-naphthenic acid-isooctyl alcohol-kerosene extraction system could be synthe-sized successfully by this synthetic method.
