Abstract
In order to know the ststus of mercury pollution in sediments of Hongfeng lake, the total mercury content of ten different monitoring points were determined by cold-vapor atomic absorption method. The potential ecological risks of each poins were calculated with the background value standard of mercury. The results showed that the sediments of Hongfeng lake were polluted to different degrees, which were 1.32~5.29 times that of the background value, the most polluted point is Dongzhai, whose potential ecological risk reached 247.57,the lest was Fangjiazhuang with 57.8 of ecological risk. The total mercury centent of the sediments of Hongfeng lake is high, and the potential ecological risk is grave.
