Abstract
A multi-residue analytical method for the simultaneous determination of organochlorine pesticides in cereal grains was developed.Organochlorine pesticides were extracted from samples with acetonitrile by oscillation, and determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.Organochlorine pesticides were quantified by area-external standard method and confirmed by their retention time, their qualifier and target ions, and their qualifier/target abundance ratios.Recovery studies were performed at 0.010 mg/kg,0.025 mg/kg,and 0.050 mg/kg spiked levels of each organochlorine pesticide, and the recoveries obtained ranged from 77% to 107% with relative standard deviations less than 15%.The detection limits of the method for all the organochlorine pesticides were under 0.001 mg/kg.The results show that the method developed is sensitive and reliable.
