Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical diagnostic significance of the high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and serum lipids in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods The hs-CRP,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) levels in T2DM patients(observation group,n=80) and healthy patients(control group,n=50) were observed. The correlation between hs-CRP and serum lipids in the observation group was analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the serum TC,TG and LDL-C,hs-CRP levels were significantly higher(P0.01),and HDL-C levels were significantly lower in the observation group(P0.01).In the observation group,hs-CRP was positively correlated with TC,TG and LDL-C(P0.05 or P0.01),and negatively correlated with HDL-C(P0.01).Conclusion Serum lipids and hs-CRP are effective means in diagnosis of T2DM.
