Abstract
Objective To investigate the characteristics of mild cognitive impairment and Electroencephalography(EEG) in acute ischemic stroke. Methods 19 amnestic type-MCI(MCI-A)and 13 vascular type-CI(MCI-V)were determined and classified according to the diagnostic criteria. The neurobehavioral cognitive status exam assessment was used to assess cognitive function. The Fugl-Meyer motor assessments were used to assess motor function.Comparing the results on EEG characteristics between MCI-A and MCI-V.The controlled group came from normal old individuals. Results Comparing the normal group, the attention, construction, memory and calculation were impaired in the MCI-A group. All parameters in MCI-V group were lower than normal value. The Fugl-Meyer indexes of MCI-V is lower than MCI-A(P0.05).There are 9 MCI-V patients and 4 MCI-A patients had moderate abnormal EEG and 3 MCI-V patients and 15 MCI-A patients had mild abnormal EEG.Conclusions The cognitive impairment is severe in MCI-V than in MCI-A.EEG can be imaged as the index in this difference.
