Abstract

In this paper, a new type of microwave radiometer, continuously calibrated microwave radiometer was introduced. It has the following characteristics: 1) insensitive to system gain variations; 2) insensitive to receiver noise-temperature variations; 3) capable to provide continuous calibration; 4)wide range of measurement. The prototype of continuously calibrated microwave radiometer at C-band is made in our laboratory. The integration time is 0.6s, sensitivity is 0.2K, linearity of the receiver is 0.9990. It is adaptive for the ground, airborne and spaceborne microwave remote sensing.
