Thoughts and suggestions on index system of Chinese food safety standard

The contents of food safety standards were regulated in Food Safety Law. The concept of food safety and food quality were sometimes misunderstood, because the elements of food quality were added to the current food safety standards of some countries and many local food companies. This leaded to the deviation between food safety standard and Food Safety Law. The problems in the food safety standard system and the corresponding food quality standards were reviewed. Also, as the main focus of this study, the proposition of diversifying food standards and imposing sanitary rules on food manufacturers were analyzed in this paper.
