Abstract

Random amplified polymorphic DNA markers were used to analyse genetic diversity among the 23 isolates of Phytophthora Capsici obtained from the infected peppers collected in Hefei,Huainan,Hexian,Qianshan,Yuexi,Nanjing and Qionglai.10 random primers were selected.A total of 113 reproducible RAPD fragments were scored,of which 96(84.96%) were polymorphic. This showed that the polymorphism existed among different isolates. The genetic distance and phylogenetic tree were constructed by using of UPGMA cluster analysis. The analysis indicated that the isolates were classified into three groups according to the similarity coef-ficient of 0.7.Only a few isolates from the same locality were divided into the same group and there was no cor-relation between DNA polymorphism and their geographical origins.
