Analysis of Surgical Treatment of 250 Aged Patients with Lung Cancer

Objective: To explore the surgery therapy and complication of patients over sixty with lung cancer and summarize the clinical experience of surgical treatment of lung cancer in aged patients.Methods:The clinical data of 250 operation cases with lung cancer in aged patients in our hospital from Jun.2005 to Jun.2008 were analyzed retrospectively.Results:236 cases were carried out the operation of lung resection,making up a percentage of 94.4%.43 cases were with postoperative complication,taking a percentage of 17.2%;5 death in the perioperative period,with a mortality of 2.0%.Conclusion:Providing preoperative preparation for elderly patients with lung cancer,controling the indication of thoracotomy strictly,strengthening the perioperative management,and intensiting the postoperative management are the effective methods to improve surgical curative effect.
