On Laozi’s “"Virtue” Again

Abstract
The word virtue was used for 52 times in the book Laozi but commentators and subcommen-tators have been neglecting the special meaning. Through the study of the source meaning of virtue in the bookas a verb and its unity with the whole book, the author may re -- comment on the realations between virtueandthe Way and goodness, tus revealing the misunderstanding of the repeated virtue in the book has affectedthe understanding of the book Laozi and its Way.
