Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the dispensing mode and analyze cost-benefit before and after the use of automatic fill-prescription devices in inpatient dispensary of Changhai Hospital,Second Military Medical University.Methods: During 15 working days each before and after the use of automatic fill-prescription devices,the changes of working procedures were observed,the time of dispensing prescriptions and reexamining the medicines was recorded and calculated,and the costs were also estimated.Results:Not only the quality of medication but also the working efficiency was improved after the automatic fill-prescription devices were used.But the cost was also increased.Conclusion:The automatic fill-prescription devices will bring in further superiority if the management pattern and working environment are improved.
