Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between estrogen receptor(ER)?progesterone receptor(PR)of breast cancer and lymph node metastasis Methods Immunocytochemistry was performed in 257 paraffin embedded breast cancer tissue to test ER?PR And the statistics was used to analyse the results of ER?PR and pathological diagnosis of lymph nodes Results The positive expression rates of ER?PR were 63 27% and 59 27% The lymph node metastasis rates in 4 type of combination ER?PR were almost equal ( P 0 05) Conclusion The positive expression rates of ER PR in breast cancer tissue are not related with lymph node metastasis However, the tests of ER?PR are of importance in guiding endocrinous therapy and estimating prognosis
