Abstract

Two-part addition-cure liquid silicone rubber was prepared with organopolysiloxane containing alkenyl group as basic gum,hydrogen-containing silicone oil as crosslink agent, silica white as reinforcing agent and catalyzed by Pt catalyst.Aseries of molar ratio of SiH group and vinyl group, different SiH content of hydrogen-containing silicone oil at the same viscosity, and different viscosity of hydrogen-containing silicone oil at the same SiH content were used to investigate the adhesion of silicone rubber.Result showed that the adhesion of silicone rubber become stronger when the value of n(SiH / SiCHCH2) in the range of 1 to 1.4 and 1.7to 2.0.Hydrogen-containing silicone oil plays a greater role to the adhesion of silicone rubber when the hydrogen content of hydrogen-containing silicone oil in the range of 0.2% to 0.6% and 0.9% to 1.6%.In this paper,addition-cure liquid silicone rubber has maximum shear strength and best adhesive properties when the viscosity of hydrogen-containing silicone oil at 90 ~ 140 mPa·s.
