Abstract

Objective: To investigate the in vivo effects of Baifuqing against pseudomonas aeruginosa in biofilm. Method: The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Baifuqing for pseudomonas aeruginosa was determined with serial dilution test. The biofilm of pseudomonas aeruginosa was established using modified plate assay. The various levels of MIC of this drug for pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected, and then scanning electron microscope was employed to define the effects. Result: Baifuqing in four levels of MIC was effective against biofilm. Conclusion: Baifuqing plays a positive role in treating and preventing bacterial vaginosis as a result of resisting pseudomonas aeruginosa in biofilm.
