Abstract
The composite coating nano-SiO_2/Ni was prepared through electro-brush plating and the composite coating was examined for microhardness and friction-wear characteristics. The surface microstructure of composite coating and distribution of nano silicon dioxide particles on the coating were studied. The results show that the composite coating nano-SiO_2/Ni has better microhardness and wear-resistance than high-speed nickel coating.
