Abstract

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of bipolar plasmakinetic resection of prostate treatment on elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods:100 elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia were divided randomly into the investigation group (50 cases) and the control group (50 cases). The former took the bipolar plasmakinetic resection of prostate, the latter took the transurethral resection of prostate.Compared and observed the clinical efficacy of the two groups. Results:The patient's blood loss in the investigation group was less than the control group, decrease in serum sodium concentration three hours after in the investigation group was higher than the control group; No significant differences between the two groups were noted in terms of the operation duration, postoperative IPSS and the urinary flow rate. Conclusion:Bipolar plasmakinetic resection of prostate of elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia is effective, with less bleeding no transurethral resection syndrome, surgical safety, especially for the elderly patients, and hence is worthy of being recommended in clinical practice.
