Abstract
The enzyme properties of alkaline protease from marine bacterium strain 15E(Brevibacterium oxydans) were tested. The alkaline protease has molecular weight 49.0 ku,isoelectric point 9.3.The optimum condition for the protease activity was 60 ℃ and pH 7.0 to 9.0.Ions such as Ca2+,Mg2+ and K+ promoted the activity of the protease. The protease was tolerable to some denaturing agents such as SDS,urea, guanidine HCl,while it was inhibited by PMSF,AEBSF and EDTA,which indicated the alkaline protease belonged to the type of serine protease and some metal ions was important for catalytic activity.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
