Abstract
The serial A/D converting which can be used to simplify hardware of data acquisition systems has great advantage in certain especial application condition. The features and operating principle of serial A/D converter AD7890 are introduced, and an example of its interface for 51 series single-chip microcomputer with the hardware explanation and C51 software are presented.
