Effect of Different Mulching Methods on Soil moisture and Spring Maize Growth

Abstract
Five kinds of mulching methods have been used to study soil moisture and maize growth on the semi-arid region of western Liaoning province,results showed that soil moisture of water-permeability plastic membrane mulching and straw mulching increased obviously,maize yield of water-permeability plastic membrane mulching was the highest.Growth and yield of maize could be effectively promoted by some mulching methods,of which water-permeability plastic membrane mulching effect was the most significant.
