Times Features of Tang Dynasty Academic History

Tang Dynasty learning had its special developing circumstances and therefore made achievements in many aspects. On the one hand, it took on remarkable characteristics of notes and commentaries in form. On the other hand, the combination of the three religions(Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism) and the trend towards the study of the mind reflected the feature of the times. The learning in Tang Dynasty lies between that of Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty, reflecting not only the natural linking of the different times but also the inheritance of learning.
