An Analysis of Voltage Sag Process

Abstract

Voltage sag refers to phenomenon of supply voltage amplitude(virtual value) sagging for a short time and then recovering to its normal amplitude.Serious voltage sag will make electrical equipment stop working or lead to the production of low-quality products.Based on the analysis of the cause of 220 kV Huazhuang substation voltage sag,this article points out that the correct action of relay protection is an important reason to voltage sag either,then recommends a solution for the problem at the end.
