Abstract
Reputation is a new method building trust. In peer-to-peer networks, reputation-based trust mechanism can isolate malicious peers from the systems and choose trusted peers′ services. Modeling trust and managing trust data are two key problems of the reputation research for peer-to-peer systems. Respectively, this paper gives a survey of them. The former consist of expression of trust, local trust and integrated trust computing. According to different storing locality for ratings, trust data management has three kinds of modes. Finally, this paper draws a conclusion and points out future research directions.
