A Dialogue between Poetry and History——the Historical Dimension of Literature

The historical dimension of literature has two implications.The narrow one requires that the history described in literature conform to history;the wider one requires that literary contents have a kind of historical rationality and spirit,which means that the writer can create historical contents in artistic methods.The historical contents that are reflected in literary works must follow certain principles: historical artistic expressions,historical rationality,and the unity of aesthetics and history.
