Abstract

In the 10 years from the Zunyi Meeting when Mao Ze-dong's leading position was first established in the Communist Party of China to the 7th Party's Congress when it was finally established, Ren Bi-shi played an important role of historical significance. He was opposed to Zhang Guo-tao's attempt to control the Second Front of the Red Army and had it march further north to join the Central Red Army, thus strengthening Mao Ze-dong's leading position! He won support of the Comintern for Mao Ze-dong, which helped to further consolidate his leading position at the 6th Preliminary Session of the 6th Party Congress; During the Rectification Campaign in Yan'an he helped Mao Ze-dong with the day-to-day work of the Central Committee, thus making historical contributions to the final establishment of Mao Ze-dong's leading position in the Communist Party.
