Abstract
In this paper, based on the establishment of laboratory model,we have studied the effects of media size and amount on the grinding efficiency of vertical stirred mill. The results indicate that smaller size media is conducive to improve the energy density and increase the specific surface area of grinding in the mill cylinder, while larger size media enhances the volume of grinding space and expends the grinding time. The determination of media parameters should take into account other factors.
