Approach to mineral resources exploration and case study for environmental impact assessment plan

This paper aims at introducing a new approach to the Mineral Resources Exploration suggested by the authors and a case study for environmental impact assessment plan composed of matrix method,Delphi method,intension analysis method,and GIS method in hope to promote the sustainable development and environmental protection.The advantage of this approach lies in that it is possible to qualitify and quantify the actual environmental situation of mining site for the time being and the change of its environment caused by the environment plan so as to provide the reference parameters for the environmental impact assessment.The suggested approach is in favor of sustainable utilization of mineral resources and environmental protection in the mining areas.Therefore,the establishment and implement of the mineral resources assessment plan in China,is of critical importance to find a suitable approach system for environmental impact assessment of mineral resources.
