Abstract

Sodium dodecyI sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used to determine the high-molecular-weight glutenin subunit(HMW-GS) composition of 38 hexaploid wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)cultivars from Xinjiang Province. This study show that 14 alleles have been identified at Glu-1 loci and which are three at Glu-A1(1,2*,Null),seven at Glu-B1(7,7+8,7+9,6+8,13+16,17+18,14+15)and four at Glu-D1(2+12,5+10,5+12,2+10),respectively.The major HMW-GS at Glu-1 loci are Null,7+8,2+12,with the frequencies of 55.3%,57.9% and 65.8%,respectively.Seventeen.HMW-GS combination have been observed,of which(Null,7+8,2+12) up to 39.5%and(1,7+8,2+12)up to 10.5%,other each combination is less than 10%.The Glu-1 quality scores of the tested cultivars rang from 3 to10with an average score of 6.3.
